Discovering research on the management of the operational computer-based information system within small to medium enterprises : reflections and future directions
posted on 2017-12-06, 00:00authored byTania Himing
An in-depth exploratory case study was used for application of a new concept regarding “the management of the operational computer-based information system (CBIS) within small to medium enterprises (SMEs)”. The research experience reveals several insights into the concept, the choice of methodology, data collection techniques and the analysis process. Particular dilemmas experienced in organizing the case study and general points to note are also raised. How this research experience now steers a PhD study in the same topic area permeates discussion. Current and future plans for the PhD are provided, together with future implications for research in general.
