posted on 2017-12-06, 00:00 authored by H Trinh, Poh Teh, Q Ha
This paper considers the problem of designing a common observer that can observe a partial set of the state vector of two linear systems with known/unknown inputs. A novel structure for a common disturbance decoupled functional observer which only uses the available output information is proposed. Existence conditions and a design procedure for constructing a common observer are given. A numerical example is given to illustrate the attractiveness of the design procedure.
