Comparison of channel models for wireless body area networks (WBANs)

This paper performs comparison of several path loss channel models proposed for wireless body area network (WBAN) for various frequency bands. The comparison is performed in terms of received signal to noise ratio (SNR) estimation using link budget calculation. The result shows that SNR estimation performed using some of the channel models are harmonized to each other; whereas those using other channel models differ significantly from each other. © 2018 IEEE.
