Communicating ideas : oral, visual and written communication skills for science students

Scientific knowledge grows through communication, discussion, and debate of ideas and understanding. The ability to communicate is an essential skill for scientists. In this paper we present the results of our program to teach, and support the development of oral, visual, and written communication skills in tertiary science students.
