Coming to terms with information literacies : developing a university-wide introductory program

This paper addresses one university's attempt to operationalize its definition of information literacies that incorporated inter-related literacies of information and computer and statistical literacy. In this process, the following issues were addressed: introducing undergraduates to some basic information literacies skills; the structure of the emerging program; and student awareness of the program.
