CSCW taxonomy : a qualitative approach

conference contribution
posted on 2017-12-06, 00:00 authored by Sylvia Ward
Computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) is a field of research that is concerned with the nature of work practices by groups using computer technology to enhance the ease of collaboration. During a literature review no article was found that had undertaken a study of the terminology and definitions used by other authors in the CSCW field. The primary objective of this paper is to describe the process of development of a CSCW taxonomy using a qualitative data collection and analysis method, and present a section of preliminary results, in order to obtain feedback from other researchers to determine implications of the taxonomy for research practice.
