Learning and continuous improvement are linked and learning must be central to Cl and a culture that supports CI. Learning needs to be both individual and organisational and must benefit the organisation's performance. The HR department is often given the task of championing of culture change, and it appears that involvement of HR professionals would enhance Cl efforts and assist in the timely solution of issues within the Cl process. This paper aims to determine the influence of involving HR professionals in CI, and if their involvement has any impact on support and tools used in Cl and the contribution ofCl to business peiformance.
