Working in the creative industries has increasingly become part of Queensland’s, and Australia’s, strategic directions for the future. In line with these directions, the Bachelor of Creative Enterprise was established in Central Queensland University in 2005. This paper explores the partnerships and pathways that have informed the development and delivery of this degree in its inaugural year of implementation, and the challenges, opportunities, and issues arising from turning policy into practice.
