This chapter is a development and extension of the conference paper : "Utilisation of voluntary conservation agreements in Australia, a perspective on Queensland" presented at the 5th Environmental Justice and Global Citizenship Conference, Mansfield College, Oxford,UK, 2006. The chapter explores factors which may encourage the use of such agreements and examines two current programs operating within Queensland.
