Videotex: All keyed up but where to go?

Videotex is one of a host of rapidly emerging information technologies potentially useful for education. Like many new information technologies videotex has great promise but immediate applications aren't always evident. The Education Department of Western Australia's Satellite Projects Team has conducted a detailed investigation into appropriate uses of videotex. Four possible applications of videotex to education were isolated; direct teaching, using data bases as sources of information, improved software development and enhanced administration systems.
