The tensions between philosophies of education and critical pedagogies in neoliberal higher education

Transitioning students into new educational spaces in the university environment – the subject of this book – requires an account of how these educational spaces and associated educational philosophies and pedagogies are framed in the neoliberal university. This chapter focusses on the ideological climate in which student transitions happen.
