Phenomenology

chapter
posted on 2022-09-19, 01:30 authored by Wendy Hillman
Phenomenology infers that being in the world is fundamental to being human and so as to comprehend humanity the situations in which people reside and make sense of their lives must also be recognised. Even though there are disparities among the diverse specialities of phenomenology, they all understand knowledge to be subjective and located and wholly developed from how people perceive and relate to the world. In phenomenological expressions, the world cannot be known independently from human beings and consequently can only be known by researching how individuals comprehend and function within it. Phenomenological methods offer rigorous possibilities to accumulate, investigate and depict individual interpretations of events which advance perceptions of phenomena (Hillman and Radel, 2018; Fendt, 2018). Phenomenology is being gradually embraced in tourism and social research situations.
