chapter
posted on 2021-07-12, 21:57 authored by Benjamin JonesBenjamin Jones
This chapter discusses the difference between nation and state, and also explore the way nationalism impacts society. It explores not only what a nation is but when a nation comes into being. Readers are asked to consider why nationalism is such a powerful force and if that power is waning or gathering strength. Finally, it considers the idea of “post-nations” and if the phenomenon of globalisation and the existential threat of climate change will make nations redundant.
