This paper presents a multicriteria assessment model for evaluating the sustaina-ble performance of intelligent buildings. Interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy num-bers are used for representing the subjective and imprecise assessments of the de-cision makers in evaluating the relative importance of the criteria and the sustain-able performance of individual intelligent buildings. An effective algorithm is de-veloped based on the concept of ideal solutions for calculating the overall close-ness coefficient value for each intelligent building across all criteria. An example is presented for demonstrating the applicability of the multicriteria assessment model for dealing with sustainable performance evaluation of intelligent building problem.
