This volume has considered the evidence for effects of nutrition on cognition and brain health. The role of diet both early and later in life and its impact on our mental performance and risk of age-related cognitive impairment or Alzheimer's disease has been explored. Diets and specific nutrients have been discussed which could confer protection against cognitive impairment or facilitate cognitive performance acutely.
