Benefit transfer: The present state and future prospects
chapter
posted on 2017-12-06, 00:00 authored by RJ Johnston, RS Rosenberger, John RolfeJohn Rolfe, R BrouwerThe goal of this final chapter is to provide a brief perspective on the state of the art and future prospects in benefit transfer. It begins with a brief summary of what we know (primary areas of consensus), drawn from prior chapters and two decades of published work. This summary is followed by a discussion of what we do not yet know, including areas where consensus has been elusive, research results have been equivocal, or current work is otherwise insufficient to answer central questions. This is followed by a set of proposed research questions designed to address these knowledge and consensus gaps. The chapter concludes with a discussion of future prospects for benefit transfer research and practice.
