"Dimension of learning is a comprehensive model that uses what researchers and theorists know about learning to define the learning process" (Marzano & Pickering, 1997, p4). This paper reports on a study that uses a concurrent mixed methods design (Cresweel and Clark 2007) to explore the impact of Dimensions of Learning, specifically Dimensions 1 (Attitudes and Perceptions) and 5 (Habits of Mind), on university students enrolled in a teacher education programme at Central Queensland University (CQU). The paper explores the level of use that teacher education students self-report for Dimesion 1 and 5 practices. Implications of the results for the teacher education progamme at CQU are discussed.
