In this paper, a novel conceptual framework for human/agent teams employing assistant agents is presented, together with its mapping to the GORITE BDI framework. The framework enables goal achievement by a human/agent team to be consistently modelled in terms of goal hierarchies known as process models. Furthermore, from the perspective of the process model execution, an individual goal execution proceeds in a consistent manner regardless of how the actual goal is realized. A proof of concept system based on an automated medication dispensing system is used to demonstrate the feasibility of the framework.
