Technologies and management for sustainable biosystems

"This book is a compilation of papers presented at the first independent international conference of the International Organisation of Biotechnology and Bioengineering (lOBB) conducted on July, 6-9, 2008 at Fremantle, Western Australia. It was organised by the Environmental Technology Centre, Murdoch University, Western Australia under the title "Technologies and Strategic Management of Sustainable Biosystems". Papers were presented in the areas of integrated biosystems for waste treatment and reuse, nutrient management, health and environmental issues with biosystems, community paIticipation, governance, education and training and case studies. Some of the papers were published in a special issue of the international journal Bioresource Technology while those published here were selected by a team of international reviewers from the remaining presentations."--Preface.
