Producer-focused extension education : a Central Queensland case study

book
posted on 2017-12-06, 00:00 authored by A Gray
"Extension" education is a name given to information offered to agricultural producers by government departments such as the Department of Primary Industries. There is no agreement or single definition for extension which, in part, contributes to "...a felt lack of direction, a very poorly articulated theoretical basis for action, and a loss of professionalism" (Russel et al. 1989, p iii). There are no significant debates about how extension is and should be practised. This paper seeks to contribute to those debates."--p. 1.
