"This volume consists of papers presented in various ATINER conferences during Summer 2008. The papers are classified in two major categories: analytical and descriptive/normative. The analytical component contains papers that make either a theoretical or an empirical contribution in economics. On the hand, the descriptive/normative part contains papers that present interesting information, or sometimes normative proposals, about various economic subjects, but do not proceed to analyze economically the various relationships suggested by the presented information."--p. i.
