Attracting, training and retaining women in the industrial, construction and manufacturing workforce : Gladstone Forum agenda [21st November, 2012, CQUniversity, Gladstone, Qld.,]

An industry forum with selected invitees participating as key speakers and focus group discussants to determine the needs and issues of the major industrial, construction and manufacturing employers in the Gladstone region in terms of attracting, training and retaining women within their respective workforces. Women are an underutilised labour resource for the region, with full time participation rates 1.3% lower than the State average (Queensland Department of Education and Training 2011, p. xvi).
