Copyright might be covered in one of two ways:

The author may hold the copyright

In this case we will ask you to give us a non-exclusive distribution licence for each deposit.

Permission to deposit the material may be obtained from the publisher

Authors commonly assign copyright to the publisher when articles articles and conference papers are published by commercial publishers. The right to submit your work to an institutional repository may be outlined in your copyright transfer agreement or ACQUIRE may seek permission from the publisher to display your work.

If the published format cannot be displayed in ACQUIRE, we may be able to display a final draft, not in the publisher's format, or link to the published version on the publisher's web site.

Where there are multiple authors or creators, all co-authors must agree to deposit a copy of the research in ACQUIRE.

Please contact the ACQUIRE copyright officer for further advice or check the University's Policy at:
